Illustrator and graphic designer
Ingunn Berg Ferstad | 27 December 1987 | Norway
BACKGROUND
In a galaxy far, far away, in the enchanting land of Norway on planet Earth, Ingunn was born. Surrounded by snow-clad mountains and magical forests, I was raised with four siblings and a handful of bunnies.
I’ve loved drawing since childhood, and I would spend much of my spare-time putting pencil to paper, creating my own characters and making up stories about them. It wasn’t until I started studying illustration at school that I got into digital art, with tools like Photoshop and digital drawing tablets.
EDUCATION AND WORK
Before my illustration studies, I was a bit of an academic adventurer. I was jumping between English, Spanish, philosophy, psychology and anthropology at NTNU in Trondheim, before I took the leap and embraced my passion for drawing and design. After two years at Norges Kreative Fagskole in Trondheim, and one year at Southampton Solent University in England, I finished with a bachelor degree in illustration (2010-2013).
After my studies I took on various freelance work and private commissions, before I got hired as a graphic designer for the clothing brand Bula in February 2017. I stayed there until December 2022, when I started working full-time for HUNT Cloud at NTNU, doing illustration and graphic design.
Every now and then I still take on some freelance work or private commissions.
INGUNN DESIGN
In august 2023, I embarked on a creative side-quest and launched a passion project of mine; fantasy-inspired coloring pages! The fantasy genre has always fascinated me, and my love for coloring books also started in early childhood. There’s something equally creative and relaxing about making a drawing come to life through colors.
Knowing there are fellow fantasy lovers out there who also share my interest for coloring, I set out to create fantasy-themed illustrations for both digital and traditional coloring media.
And where can you find these wonders, you ask? In my Etsy shop, of course! Got any coloring-related questions? Check out the FAQ!
